Alton Town Council will meet Tuesday, April 2, at 8 p.m. at the town hall.

Floyd County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, April 2, at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners Room at the City-County Building at New Albany.

Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, April 1, at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Board of Health will meet Wednesday, April 3, at 8 a.m. in the upstairs conference room of the Harrison County Health and Education Building at Corydon.

Harrison County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Leavenworth Advisory Plan Commission will meet Monday, April 1, at 6 p.m. at the Leavenworth Community Center.

Church

Crawford Consolidated United Methodist Church will have a fifth Sunday hymn sing March 31 at 6 p.m. with refreshments to follow.

Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church in Crandall will host a fish fry Friday, March 29, and Friday, April 5, at the Masonic Lodge along Oak Street in Crandall. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. both days. Adult meals are $7.50; $3 for children 10 and younger. Carry-out will be available. Proceeds will go to the church building fund. New Hope Baptist Church, 304 Elm St. in Birdseye, will have a healing and deliverance meeting Friday, April 5, at 8 p.m. Gifts of the spirit in operation. Everyone welcome. For more information, call 1-812-630-8896.

Palmyra Church of Christ will have a Biblical Foundations and Backgrounds spring seminar Wednesday, April 3, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The church is located along Greene Street, one block south of the S.R. 135 and U.S. 150 intersection.

Holy Week

Carefree Christian's Missionary Church will have a Good Friday Service at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Brother Gary Roll. In addition, the church will have a breakfast Saturday, March 30, at 9:30 followed by an Easter egg hunt at 10:30. Everyone is encouraged to attend all of the events.

Epiphany Lutheran Church in New Salisbury will have a Holy Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. On Good Friday at 7 p.m., there will be a service of darkness and on Saturday at 1 p.m. there will be an Easter egg hunt for all children younger than 12 years of age. There will be two worship services with Holy Communion on Easter Sunday with a Sunrise Service at 7 and at the regular time of 10 a.m. There will be an Easter breakfast between the services.

Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church will host the following Holy Week services: Maundy Thursday Community Communion Service at 7 p.m.; Community Good Friday Service at 7 p.m.; Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall and Easter Celebration Service at 9 a.m. followed by Sunday school. Marengo Christian's Missionary Church will have a Sunrise Service Sunday, March 31, at 8 a.m. An Easter egg hunt will be at 9 followed by the Easter service at 10:30. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

New Salisbury Christian's Missionary Church will have a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Garry Ballance will deliver the message. Everyone is welcome.

Miscellaneous/Organizations

Benefit for Neal and Cindy Belcher, parents and caregivers of injured Crawford County Deputy Sheriff Jesse Belcher, will be Saturday, April 6, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Patoka Elementary School. There will be chicken dinners, hot dogs, bake sale and silent auction. Included will be donations of more than 150 items, including a 220-pound hog delivered to the butcher shop, rocker from Cracker Barrell, Indiana University basketball autographed by coach Tom Crean, two hand-stitched quilts and a good, used riding mower. Crawford County Arts and Crafts will meet at Van's Restaurant in Marengo Tuesday, April 2, at 12:30 p.m.

Taswell Cemetery meeting will be Friday, March 29, at 7 p.m. at Taswell Christian Church. Everyone is invited.
