Floyd County Council will meet Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Room 104 of the Pineview Government Center at New Albany. It will conduct a 2014 budget hearing at 8:30 a.m. with the regular meeting at 4 p.m. Then, on Wednesday, Sept. 11, it will meet at 8:30 a.m. to continue the 2014 budget hearing.

Epiphany Lutheran Church will have a Friendship Sunday, Sept. 8, with worship and bluegrass gospel music starting at 10 a.m. After church, there will be a cookout in the shelter house. Everyone is welcome. The church is located along S.R. 135 just north of S.R. 64 at New Salisbury.
Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church in Crandall will host a fish fry Friday, Sept. 6, at the Masonic Lodge along Oak Street in Crandall. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. Adult meals will be $7.50; children 10 & younger eat for $3. Carry-out will be available. Proceeds will go to the church building fund. Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church food pantry will be open Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. until there is no more food. The food pantry, on a first-come, first-served basis, is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Crawford County residency is required. The church is located at 1598 W. S.R. 64.
Mifflin Community Church will host revival services Tuesday through Sunday, Sept. 10 through 15. Service time on Tuesday through Saturday will be at 7 p.m. On Sept. 15, Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. with worship at 10:30; evening service will be at 5. Evangelist and singers will be the Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Kauffman. Pastor Lee and Sister Dawn and the church welcome everyone.
Good Vibrations, a band featuring Bill Kappel, Wendell Smith, Bob McIntosh and Chet and Judy Brummett, will perform classic country, old-time rock and roll and more each Wednesday night at the Eagles Building at 1500 Highway 62 E. in Corydon. There will be a pitch-in supper (bring a dish, if you plan to eat) at 6 p.m. with music and dancing from 6:30 to 9:30. The cover charge is $5, and there will be 50-50 pot drawings and door prizes. Experienced guest singers are welcome.
Little Mountain Band, which features Andy DeWitt, Wayne Bullington, Larry Wiseman, Henry Tobey, Jack Fish and Paul Goodpaster, will perform on the second and fourth Saturday nights of each month from 7 to 10 at the old 4-H building at English. The cover charge is $5. In addition, there will be a pitch-in dinner on the fourth Saturday at 6 p.m.
Our Father Provides Center, located at 109 W. Poplar St. in Corydon, has new and used clothing and food items to give to persons in need. The center is open on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Persons wanting to donate items may do so during that time. For more information, call 738-2516.
Hardinsburg Senior Center will have its all-you-can-eat monthly breakfast Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the center. All ages are welcome. Then, on Tuesday, Sept. 10, after lunch, the seniors will have a meeting. All members are urged to attend to discuss the next project.
