Prevent Child Abuse Crawford County will meet Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 11:30 a.m. at Marcy's Kitchen at English.
Christ United Methodist Church will host Nashville recording artist Darla McFadden Sunday, Oct. 6, during the 9:30 a.m. worship service. In her 24 years of ministry, McFadden has pursued her calling all over the United States. Her latest project, "Hope," which is packed with life-changing lyrics, has put McFadden on the national charts. She is receiving national radio airplay and was recently nominated for gospel music's highest honor, the Dove Award. The church is located at 1618 Canal Lane in Georgetown. There is no admission charge, but a love offering will be taken. Everyone is welcome.
El Bethel Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, Oct. 6. Regular church service will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by a pitch-in dinner in the fellowship hall at 1 and an old-fashion hymn sing at the church at 3. Bring a dish and memories.
English Wesleyan Church will have homecoming Sunday, Oct. 6, with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 10:30, homecoming dinner at noon in the fellowship hall and an afternoon service at 2. The Rev. Gary W. Wilson.
Epiphany Lutheran Church, located along S.R. 135 north of New Salisbury, will have a car show, chili supper and silent auction Saturday, Oct. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. There is no entry free, and prizes will be awarded.
Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church food pantry will be open Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. until there is no more food. The food pantry, on a first-come, first-served basis, is open on the first and third Saturday of each month. Crawford County residency is required. The church is located at 1598 W. S.R. 64.
Marengo United Methodist Church will serve free meals at the church, located south of the railroad tracks along S.R. 66, on the first and third Mondays of the month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The next one will be Monday, Oct. 7. Everyone is invited for Monday Meals and fellowship.
Union Chapel North Church and Cemetery will have its annual homecoming Sunday, Oct. 6, with a pitch-in lunch at 1 p.m., with the service to follow.
Unity Chapel United Methodist Church will have its annual fish fry Saturday, Oct. 5, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Carry-out will be available. The menu will include Alaskan pollack, baked beans, slaw, dessert and a drink. A free-will offering will be taken. Proceeds will go to Harrison County Community Services.
Crawford County Arts and Crafts will meet Monday, Oct. 7, at 12:30 p.m. at Van's Restaurant at Marengo.
