Crandall Town Council will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the community center.

English Town Council will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Park board will meet Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. in the conference room at the Harrison County Parks Department at Corydon.

Palmyra Town Council will meet Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 9 a.m. at the town hall.


Community Worship Chapel in Marengo will have its fall festival Sunday, Oct. 20, beginning at approximately 12:30 p.m. There will be a chili cook-off with both a pie and a themed-basket auction. Everyone is invited.

Good News Church, located at 1465 Temple Road in English, will host Harvest Time Jamboree Saturday, Oct. 19, at noon. There will be gospel music and food. Pastor Joe Saltz. For more information, call 633-4940.

Fellowship Baptist Church in Hardinsburg will host a benefit auction for the eastern Kentucky mission project Friday, Nov. 1, at the Bearcat Civic Center about a mile east of Hardinsburg along U.S. 150. Doors will open at 4 p.m. with food to be served at 5 and the sale at 6. More than 75 items will be sold at a variety of prices. All auction proceeds will be used to purchase items for the needy in eastern Kentucky on Dec. 6. Persons who would like to donate clean, tear-free clothing may do so through Oct. 31. Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church food pantry will be open Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. until there is no more food. The food pantry, on a first-come, first-served basis, is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Crawford County residency is required. The church is located at 1598 W. S.R. 64.

Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church at English will be host its annual Crawford County Appreciation and Recognition Service for "Those Who Serve" Sunday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. All military, state, county and local law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, emergency workers and their families are invited. After an appreciation program, the church women will provide soup, sandwiches and desserts. Everyone is welcome to attend and help say, "Thank you for all you do to serve and protect." Marengo Pilgrim Holiness Church will have fall revival services Tuesday, Oct. 22, through Sunday, Oct. 27. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Chris King, of Sommerset, Ky., will be the evangelist. The church is located at 6347 E. Speed Road, Milltown. For more information, call 633-4263.

Marengo United Methodist Church will serve free meals at the church, located south of the railroad tracks along S.R. 66, on the first and third Mondays of the month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with the next on Oct. 21. Everyone is invited for Monday Meals and fellowship.

Milltown Christian Church will host King's Table on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. Also, Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with the worship service at 10:30. Cross trainers (youth) is 5 to 6:30 p.m. each Sunday, and Acts Bible study is each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Delvin (Dee) Sweeney, pastor.

Zoar Community Church is having revival services this week through Sunday with the Rev. and Mrs. Dale Darr. Services will begin at 7:30 nightly through Saturday. On Sunday, services will be at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 3550 Zoar Church Road near Corydon. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 366-3216.
