Crawford County Sheriff's Merit board will meet Monday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Crawford County Judicial Complex at English.

Harrison County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room, Suite No. 100, at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Council will meet Monday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will meet Friday, Oct. 25, at 8:45 a.m. at the USDA Farm Service Agency building at Corydon.

Milltown Town Council will meet in special session Monday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall to discuss and approve bid specifications for another phase of sidewalk project in town. Other items of interest may be brought before the council at that time. In addition, the Economic Development Committee will meet at the same location at 7.

Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District operational meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the PLRWSD office board room at 2647 N. S.R. 545, Dubois.

Church

Central Barren United Methodist Church is offering assistance on the fourth Thursday of each month, from 5 to 7 p.m., to persons in need of "fill-in" food items. A bag of staples will be available for each family in need. The next food pantry will be Thursday, Oct. 24.

Christian's Missionary Church at New Salisbury will have homecoming Sunday, Oct. 21, with worship at 10:20 a.m. Open Heart will be the singers. A carry-in meal will follow the service. Everyone is welcome.

Crawford Consolidated United Methodist Church will host a free community dinner Sunday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. The church is located at 8853 S. Indian Ridge Road, Leavenworth. For more information, call 739-2132.

El Bethel Baptist Church invites everyone to "trunk-or-treat" Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the fellowship hall. There will be treats, children's activities, a bouncy house, hot dogs and drinks, music and a campfire, weather permitting. The fellowship hall is located along S.R. 66, three miles north of Interstate 64.

Epiphany Lutheran Church in New Salisbury will have a trunk or treat Sunday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church will host its annual "trunk-or-treat" Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Bring your child to a night of trick-or-treating in the church parking lot. Church members will pass out treats from their car trunks or trucks. The church is located west of English along S.R. 64. For more information, call Mary or Bob at 338-2139.

Milltown Baptist Church will begin a study, Understanding the Book of Revelation, on Monday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. Bring your favorite soup.

Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at Cape Sandy will host a Family Fun Fest Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be games, music, a bouncy house and food. All ages are welcome. Pastor Joe Crowe.

Taswell Seventh-day Adventist Church food pantry will be open Thursday, Oct. 24, from 3 to 5 p.m. Families are assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Those receiving assistance must complete a form. Families must be from Crawford County and have a need. For more information, call Sheila at 1-812-613-0131.

Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church will have revival services Sunday, Nov. 3, through Wednesday, Nov. 6, with Sunday services at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and weekday services at 7 p.m. Evangelist will be Jason Van Meter. Special singers will be the Adams family, Harvey McAdams and the Breeding family. The pastor is Doug Byrum. The church is located at along S.R. 64 west of English.

Miscellaneous/Organizations

Posey Masonic Lodge 188 in Leavenworth will have a free public breakfast Saturday, Oct. 26, from 8 to 11.

Veterans

Crawford County Indiana Veterans Memorial Association will meet Monday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. at English VFW Post 6160. The public is invited.
