August 07, 2013
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a 47-year old man that occurred on Patoka Lake Saturday evening.

Roberto Abaiger, of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead at Bloomington Hospital of Orange County after being transported by ambulance.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., Indiana Conservation Officers and Orange County Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to a call of an unresponsive male on a boat. First aid and CPR were rendered, but efforts were unsuccessful.

According to preliminary investigation, Abaiger was being towed on an inflatable tube behind a boat when he began having chest pain. Shortly after reboarding the boat, he became unresponsive and was transported to shore.
