Some area trick-or-treat times have been changed due to expected inclement weather.
All Halloween festivities in Milltown have been rescheduled for Saturday evening. Trick-or-treating will be from 6 to 8, and the "Zombie Walk" will be at 8:30.
The Milltown Town Council made the decision to reschedule the town's official Halloween festivities after heavy rains and high winds were scheduled for Halloween night.
"The safety of the children was foremost in the minds of the town council when making their decision to reschedule these events," Milltown Chief Marshal Ray Saylor said. "We hope everyone turns out Saturday night and has a great time during the Halloween festivities."
In addition, Floyd County has moved up its trick-or-treating to this evening (Wednesday) from 5 to 8:30 because of tomorrow's expected inclement weather. This does not apply to the City of New Albany, which has set trick-or-treating for Thursday from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Officials remind motorists to watch for trick-or-treaters during the inclement weather.
