A 27-year-old Hardinsburg woman was killed when her vehicle was struck head-on by another motorist on U.S. 150 near Fredericksburg on Nov. 5.
According to the Indiana State Police, Jeremy Hall, 33, of French Lick was traveling west in a 2005 Mercury Sable around 7 a.m. when he passed a vehicle and, as he pulled into the eastbound lane to pass, struck a 1999 Ford passenger car driven by Alisha Riggs just west of North Road.
Riggs was pronounced dead at the scene, while Hall was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital in Louisville with serious injuries.
It was not immediately known if seat belts were in use by the drivers.
A crash reconstruction team from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg was to reconstruct the crash scene.
This investigation is continuing with the findings in the crash being forwarded to the Washington County Prosecutor's Office for determination of possible criminal charges.
Assisting agencies included the Washington County Sheriff's Department, Washington County EMS, Washington County Coroner's Office and the Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department.
