Kentucky Headhunters returning to Marengo for free concert
Georgia Thunderbolts, Crashers also to take stage
August 28, 2019
Two years after playing a packed downtown Marengo on Labor Day weekend, The Kentucky Headhunters will return on Sunday. This time, however, they'll be joined by some special guests.
The Georgia Thunderbolts and The Crashers will get the party started at 5 p.m., with The Kentucky Headhunters taking the stage later in the evening.
The Grammy- and Country Music Award-winning band's free performance two years ago drew an estimated 5,000 people to the town. Last year's event, which is sponsored annually by Crawford County Celebrates, drew an equally impressive crowd, as the country rock band Confederate Railroad was the headliner.
Besides free live music, the day will include vendors (opening at noon) and a parade at 4 p.m. Lineup for the parade will be at 3 at Crawford County Middle School.
The Town of Marengo is asking for no glass bottles or animals, with officials saying that a "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy is to be followed.
