Crawford County Public Library Board will meet Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Public Library at English.

Georgetown Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Court House at Corydon.

Harrison County Council will meet Monday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Court House at Corydon.

Harrison County Land Conservation Committee will meet Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Harrison County Community Foundation at 1523 Foundation Way, Corydon.

Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District Board will meet Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 a.m. at the USDA Farm Service Agency Building at Corydon.

South Central Area Special Education Cooperative Governing Board will meet Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 9:30 a.m. at the South Central Area Special Education Coop Administrative Building at 600 Elm St., Suite No. 2, Paoli.

Church Events

Cream of the Crop senior's ministry at Palmyra United Methodist Church will host a day out for senior citizens Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Celebration Center, S.R. 135 South in Palmyra. The event will start at 11 a.m. with fun and games. A free lunch of soup and sandwiches will be served at noon. Sharon Uhl, Harrison County coordinator for Retired Volunteer Seniors Program (RVSP), will speak at 1 p.m. Some planning for the year will also be discussed. All seniors are welcome. Reservations are not needed, but they are appreciated. For more information, call Peggy McDaniel at 364-4288.

Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church in Crandall will host a fish fry on Friday, Feb. 1, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Crandall Masonic Lodge. There will be a free-will offering for those dining in the lodge; carry-out meals are $7. Proceeds go toward the building fund. For more information, call 736-5474 or 972-0269.

Marengo Christian Church will host a "Saturday Soup Night and Pie Auction" on Jan. 26 beginning at 6 p.m. Chris Bean will be the auctioneer. Soups will be provided for supper with a free-will donation. All proceeds go to the church's Women's Council.

New Life Christian Church at Lanesville will host a divorce-care seminar each Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The church is located at 8090 Tandy Road. For more information, call 952-9611.

Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church near Taswell will have a soup dinner with fun and games after dinner Friday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Health Events

Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will conduct blood pressure checks Friday, Jan. 25, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the English Housing for the Elderly and Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Marengo Housing for the Elderly.
