Milltown to get a little help from sister city

A group of Milltown, Wisc., students will be in this area's Milltown Saturday to offer assistance to the small town that was flooded in March.

The students will be bringing bulbs, plants, seeds and other gardening materials to plant in several locations of the town.

The two Milltowns will be proclaimed as "sister cities" at a ceremony at noon in downtown next to the town hall. The public is welcome to attend.

The idea originated from Milltown, Wis., Lions Club members who saw the local Milltown on Good Morning America and ABC Nightly News during the flood.

The Lions Club contacted the local Lions Club about doing something nice for the town.

The local schools in Milltown, Wis., have donated money and items, such as plants, topsoil, mulch, etc.
