Crawford County Community School Corp. Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Administration Building south of Marengo. The public meeting will meet immediately following the 6 p.m. closed executive session.
Crawford County Public Library Board will meet in closed executive session regarding personnel issues Thursday, Aug. 14, at 5 p.m. at the library at English.
Crawford County Tourism Board will meet Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 9 a.m. at the Tourism Office at Leavenworth.
Crawford County Sheriff's Merit Board will meet Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Crawford County Judicial Complex at English.
English Town Council will meet Monday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. at the English Fire Station.
Georgetown Town Council will meet Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall.

Fairview United Methodist Church will have its annual homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 24. There will be a pitch-in dinner at noon followed by a program at 1:30. New minister Kevin Mallory will bring the message with Diane Henkle's group, Sisters in Christ, providing the music. Everyone is welcome to enjoy an afternoon of Christian worship. No service will be held in the morning.
Women's Aglow Fellowship will meet Thursday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. at the English Senior Citizens Building.
Blue River Saddle Club will host a Memorial Fun Show in honor of Scott Bement, a longstanding member, on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Livonia. Registration will be at 5 p.m.; the event will start at 6. Descendants of Cort and Bertha Emily and Hazel Emily Smith are invited to attend a family reunion Sunday, Aug. 17, at 1:30 p.m. in the New Salisbury United Methodist Church basement. Bring a covered dish; table service will be provided.
Valeene Homecoming will be Saturday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Team sign-ups for cornhole and horseshoe pitching tournaments will be at 9 a.m. and start at 10. The registration fee for both is $20 per team. At noon the Southeast Fire Department will give a Jaws of Life demonstration. In addition, the Flight for Life Air Vac Helicopter will make an appearance. Music by local artists, including Alan Strange, A.J. Manship, The Ferrans, Sacred Calling and local churches, will start at 4:30 p.m. There will also be free children's games, a cakewalk in the shelter house, and a jail for fun and to raise funds for the park upkeep. The concession stand will be open, and the event will be held rain or shine. Bring a lawnchair.
