Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church, in Crandall will host a fish fry Friday, Sept. 5, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Crandall Masonic Lodge off Oak Street. A free-will offering will be accepted from those dining in the Lodge. Carry-out meals will be available for $7. Proceeds go toward the church building fund. Marengo United Methodist Church will host Golden Friends, a monthly gathering for all seniors, Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 11:30 a.m. Seniors are invited for food, fun and fellowship. Mount Zion Brethren in Christ Church clothes closet will be open Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be lots of clothes and household items to be given away. The church is located off Speed Road in between Milltown and S.R. 66. Everyone is welcome.
Unity Chapel United Methodist Church south of Ramsey is hosting Brian Bracey, a "One Reason" contemporary/gospel musician from Lakeland, Fla., Sunday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. He has performed his program that includes many southern gospel, contemporary and praise music as well as trumpet solos at Unity Chapel the past two years. An ice-cream social will follow the concert. The public is invited.
Floyd County Crit Club members will be painting and displaying their art at Indian Creek Winery Saturday, Aug. 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. The winery is located at 6491 County Line Road, Georgetown.
