Corydon United Methodist Church will host a "Day in the Park" Sunday, Sept. 7, at Hayswood Nature Reserve near Corydon. An open-air worship service will start at 11 a.m. followed by a pitch-in picnic. Hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks will be provided. The service will be held in the shelter house next to the playground equipment. Everyone is invited to also bring games.

New Life Christian Church of Lanesville will host a free Christian rock concert Saturday, Sept. 13, from 2:30 to 7 p.m. in conjunction with the Lanesville Heritage Weekend festival.
