Crawford County School Board will meet Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Administration Building at Marengo (north of Crawford County Junior-Senior High School). A closed executive session will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the public meeting, which is expected will include adoption of the 2009 budget.
Crawford County Sheriff's Merit Board will meet Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Crawford County Judicial Complex at English.
Crawford County Tourism Board will meet Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 9 a.m. at the Crawford County Tourism Office at Leavenworth.
English Town Council will meet Monday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. at the English Fire Station.
Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, Sept. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Court House at Corydon.

North Harrison Community School Board will meet Thursday, Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at North Harrison Middle School at Ramsey.
Bethany Union Church, located four miles south of Eckerty, will host a Gospel hymn sing Sunday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. Special singers will be Marlin Wagler and Family from Odon.
Blue River Church of Christ in Depauw will hosts its homecoming Sunday, Sept. 21, with worship at 11:30 a.m. led by Stephen Purlee of Salem. A basket dinner will be served at 1 p.m.; drinks and table service will be provided. Bring folding chairs. The annual board meeting will begin at 2 p.m.
Grantsburg Community Church will host its homecoming Sunday, Sept. 14, with Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m. A pitch-in dinner will follow the worship service. Mixed Blessings of Corydon will provide music at 1:30 p.m.
Liberty View Church will host its annual homecoming and weekend revival Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12, 13 and 14. Evangelist Doug Byrum will bring the message each day. Revival services on Friday and Saturday begin at 7 p.m. Homecoming services on Sunday include Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m., pitch-in fellowship meal at noon; and afternoon service at 2 p.m. The church is located on S.R. 66 north of Milltown.
New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye will conduct revival services Sept. 10 through 13 at 7 each night.

A free picnic will be held Friday, Sept. 19, at the home of Carol and Mike Smith, 12163 North Road NW. The picnic, scheduled for 5 p.m. until dark, is for voters of Blue River Township and other invitees. This is an opportunity to meet local Republican candidates. Residents are invited to bring their children and a chair, and have a hamburger or hot dog and soft drink on the Harrison County Republicans.

Joseph and Lurah Snyder 43rd annual reunion will be Saturday, Sept. 20, at Tindall School No. 3, located off Union Chapel Road. All descendants of this couple are urged to make an effort to attend. Also, on that same date, the 10th annual Tindall school reunion will be held. All guests and friends are welcome; bring food to share for the noon meal and items to sell at the fundraiser auction, which begins at 1 p.m.
West Fork/Sulphur school reunion will be Saturday, Sept. 20, at 12:30 p.m. at Harold Lynch old home place at Doolittle Mills. There will be a pitch-in dinner; bring a covered dish, lawn chairs and pictures. Come to reminisce with old friends and have a good time.
