Floyd County food donations needed; bottled water available
September 17, 2008 The Salvation Army is in need of non-perishable food or monetary donations. These donations can be dropped off at local fire stations or the Salvation Army on Green Valley Road in New Albany.
These donations will provide much needed food to low-income family's that have been affected by the recent disaster.
Feeding will be set up by the Salvation Army in the following locations:
•Friday at Silver Street United Methodist Church, 413 Silver St., from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
•Saturday at St. Mark's United Church of Christ, 222 E. Spring St. from noon to 1 p.m.
•Sunday at Centenary United Methodist Church, 309 E. Spring St. at 4:30 p.m..
This service is provided to individuals who have no other means.
Bottle water is available, while supplies last, at the following locations:
•In Floyd County at the Georgetown Fire Department at 5610 Corydon Ridge Road in Edwardsville.
•Lafayette Twp. Fire Department at 4002 Scottsville Road in Floyds Knobs.
•Greenville Twp. Fire Department at 7020 U.S. 150 in Galena.
•In New Albany at the New Albany Fire Department Station 3 at 316 E. Spring St.
