September 24, 2008 The Crawford County Wolfpack earned their third win of the season and improved their Patoka Lake Athletic Conference record to 2-1 after a 34-0 mauling of host Mitchell Friday night.
Crawford had 17 first downs while holding Mitchell to just five and only 100 yards of offense. The Wolfpack carried the ball 35 times for 287 yards and was 9 of 16 passing for 150 yards for a total of 437 yards of offense.
Mitchell (1-4, 1-2 PLAC) had just 75 yards rushing on 25 carries. The Bluejackets were just 2 of 6 passing for 25 yards. Crawford once again held its penalties down, this time to just five for 40 yards while Mitchell racked up nine for 70 yards.
Jesse Allen had two Crawford touchdowns and was four of five kicking for extra points. Evan Crecelius had the big run for the night, with a 60-yard touchdown sprint.
The 34-point margin was the largest win since the school began varsity play.
