Georgetown Community Church will host its annual golf classic scramble Friday, Oct. 17. The cost is $75 per person, which includes cart, green fees, lunch and awards. The shotgun tee time begins at 8 a.m. Team and hole sponsorships are available. Included in this year's event will be a silent auction. Georgetown Community Church women will host a "flea market" Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Booth space (10-foot-by-12-foot) is available for rent at $10 (includes use of a five-foot table). Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church in English will have a yard and bake sale Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds go to the church's Relay For Life teams.
Marengo United Methodist Church will have a chicken barbecue Saturday, Oct. 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. The church is located 1/2 mile south of Marengo off S.R. 66. The menu will include chicken, slaw, baked beans, bread and dessert. Drinks will be provided with eat-in meals. Carry-out is available. Adult dinners cost $7 and children's meals are $5. Old Union Christian Church in Sulphur will have a Fall Revival Friday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 6 p.m. A fellowship meal will be held after the Saturday service. Evangelist will be Paul Ratterman, director of admissions at Louisville Bible College.
