Domestic Violence program at CCJSHS
October 15, 2008
Is your mother, daughter, sister or grandchild a victim of domestic violence?
If so, would you know it? Would you know what to do?
To find out more information on domestic violence, attend a special program tomorrow (Thursday), from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Crawford County Junior-Senior High School cafetorium.
The evening, for adults, will feature a domestic violence survivor telling her story, a Prevent Child Abuse presentation, and an open forum of professionals to answer questions. For children, there will be crafts and activities.
There will also be door prizes to be awarded, including $100 in cash, a $50 Wal-Mart gift card, a $20 gas cards, a family night basket, gift certificates and more. In addition, there will be free Halloween treats for the children.
The program is sponsored by representatives from Southern Hills Counseling Center, Purdue Extension Agency, Crawford County High School Family Careers and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Crawford County Prosecutor's Office, Center for Women and Families, Crisis Connection and Hoosier Hills PACT.
