Crandall Town Council will meet Monday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crandall Community Center.

Crawford County Board of Health will meet Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Health Department at English.

Crawford County Community School Corp. Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Marengo Elementary School. The public meeting will begin immediately following the 6 p.m. closed executive session.

Crawford County Habitat for Humanity will meet Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. at 124 S. Second St., Marengo.

English Town Council will meet Monday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. at the English Fire Station.

Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Court House at Corydon.

Harrison County Park Board will meet Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Archives Building at Corydon.

Leavenworth Park Board will meet Monday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Leavenworth Town Hall.

LifeSpan Resources Inc. Area Advisory Council will meet Friday, Oct. 17, at 11:45 a.m. at the LSR Conference Room, 426 Bank St., Ste. 100, New Albany.

Church Events

Bethany Union Church, located four miles south of Eckerty, will hold revival services Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18, at 7 each night with Doug Byrum bringing the message.

Central Barren United Methodist Church will have a fried oyster/chilli supper Saturday, Oct. 18, beginning at 5 p.m. The menu includes fried oysters, baked ham, chili, hot dogs, potato salad, slaw, baked beans, persimmon pudding, pies, cakes and drinks.

Christ United Methodist Church Women in Georgetown will sponsor a bazaar Saturday, Oct. 18. There will be a baked goods/candy booth, silent auction, Rada Cutlery booth and a white elephant yard sale booth. Booths will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the menu will feature hot dogs and pork barbecue, with homemade desserts available. A dinner will be served country style from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu will include chicken-n-dumplings, pulled pork barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, side dishes (green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and slaw), desserts and a beverage. The cost is $8.

Marengo Wesleyan Church will have revival services Oct. 19 through Oct. 22. Service time is 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Evangelist will be the Rev. Harvey McAdams, and song evangelist will be Heaven Bound Bluegrass. The congregation extends a welcome to all.

St. John's Lutheran Church will have a "Salute to Our Veterans" featuring the Wulfe Bros. Band Friday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The church's activities committee invites everyone. The event begins with an "All-American Meal" featuring barbecue, hot dogs, chili dogs, baked beans, slaw, chips, apple or cherry pie and drinks. Serving will begin at 6 p.m. The Wulfe Bros. will present "Reflections of the American Spirit." Early-bird tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 4 through 12; children younger than 3 are admitted free. Family maximum is $20. After Oct. 25, prices will increase to $10 and $5 with a $25 family maximum. Tickets include meal and entertainment. All veterans will received a complimentary ticket but it must be requested before Oct. 20. If you would like to wear your uniform, please do or you may bring it and other memorabilia to the event. Miscellaneous

Breeden Memorial Library announces Family Movie Night showings. The library will show "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning" on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 5 p.m., and "Iron Man" on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 5 p.m. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Call the library at 739-4092 before 4 p.m. the day of the film to let officials know you're coming.

Chili dinner will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Ramsey Fire Station in New Salisbury, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $3 per person. All proceeds will go toward purchasing uniforms for Troop 1101. For more information, contact Valerie at 366-4037.

Organizations

Crawford County Republicans' meet, greet and eat with the candidates will be Saturday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Marengo American Legion Hall. Chili, hot dogs, desserts, etc. will be served. The event will feature local and state candidates. The event is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.

Milltown Community Association will meet Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Milltown Town Hall.

Milltown Parks Board will meet Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Milltown Town Hall.

Reunions

Maude and Griff Miller reunion will be Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Union Chapel Ladies Aide Hall near Laconia. A pitch-in meal will begin at 1 p.m.; bring a covered dish and table service. All family and friends are invited.

Veterans

American Legion Post 84 will meet Monday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the post home at Marengo.

American Legion Post 332 Auxiliary will meet Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the post home at Milltown.

VFW Post 6160 will meet Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. at the post home at English.
