Crawford County Tourism Board will meet Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Crawford County Welcome Center north of I-64 at Leavenworth. An open house of the facility will be held from 1 to 3 p.m.
Crawford County Solid Waste Management District announces that its recycling centers will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28. The centers will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Corydon Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Holiday Bazaar Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts will be offered along with handmade crafts and inexpensive gift baskets of all kinds. This year, the bazaar will feature the edible goodies of Harrison County Fair's award-winning makers of pies, pickles, jellies, breads, cranberry sauce and other homemade baked goods and candies. Also, the Sew Bee It Quilters have donated a quilt that includes samples of many different quilt patterns, all in matching colors. There will be only 200 chances to win this quilt for a donation of $5 each. Proceeds from the bazaar will benefit needy people in Harrison County and Guatemala. Pfrimmer's Chapel United Methodist Church east of Corydon will have a quilt auction and chicken dinner Saturday, Nov. 22. The dinner will begin at 4 p.m. followed by the auction at 6. For more information, call 738-2757.

Breeden Memorial Library at Leavenworth will show "Journey to the Center of the Earth" Thursday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. No film will be shown on Thursday, Nov. 27, as the library will be closed for Thanksgiving Day. Movies are shown on theater-style screen, and popcorn and drinks are provided. Call the library at 739-4092 before 4 p.m. the day of the film to give library officials a head count.
