Jury renders Taswell man guilty of child molestation
December 17, 2008 A Crawford County jury found Larry D. Dearborn of Taswell, 32, guilty of three counts of child molesting on Dec. 4.
Dearborn, whose trial begin Dec. 1, with jury selection on Nov. 24, prior to the Thanksgiving break, was convicted of two Class A felonies and one Class C felony.
The jury rendered its verdict after approximately eight hours of deliberation. Dearborn will be sentenced on Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. in Crawford County Circuit Court.
"Child (molestation) cases are very difficult for the families of the victim, the accused and the jurors who are involved in the trial process," Prosecuting Attorney Cheryl Hillenburg said. "I appreciate the jurors and their willingness to participate in the process."
