The Crawford County Soil and Water Conservation District will conduct its annual meeting Saturday, Feb. 7, at 8 a.m. at Crawford County Junior-Senior High School. The SWCD will make a full and due report of its activities and financial affairs since the last annual meeting and elect a supervisor. All land occupiers and other interested parties are entitled to attend.
Georgetown Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall.
Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, Feb. 2, at 8:30 a.m. at the Harrison County Court House at Corydon.
Harrison County Board of Health will meet Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 8 a.m. at the Northfield Plaza Conference Room at Corydon.
Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission has canceled its Board of Directors' meeting for Tuesday, Jan. 27, due to the weather. The meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the Indiana 15 RPC office, 221 E. First St., Ferdinand.
Leavenworth Plan Commission will meet Monday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Breeden Memorial Library.
Marengo Town Council will meet Monday, Feb. 2, instead of Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.
Brethren-in-Christ Church will have its clothes closet Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be lots of clothes and household items. Everyone is invited. The church is located off Speed Road, near S.R. 66, southwest of Milltown.
Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church in Crandall will host a fish fry Friday, Feb. 6, at 5 p.m. at the Crandall Masonic Lodge off Oak Street. A free-will offering will be accepted for those dining in the lodge. Carry-out meals will cost $7 each. Proceeds will go toward the building fund. Marengo United Methodist Church will host Golden Friends, a monthly gathering for all seniors Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 11:30 a.m. Mary Talmadge, of the Purdue Cooperative Extension Office, will be the guest speaker. Breeden Memorial Library at Leavenworth will show "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" Thursday, Jan. 29, at 5 p.m. and "Beethoven's Big Break" Thursday, Feb. 5, at 5 p.m. Movies are shown on a theater-style screen. Popcorn and drinks are provided. Call the library at 739-4092 before 4 p.m. the day of the film to give library officials a head count.
Palmyra United Methodist Church will host a Red Cross blood drive Friday, Jan. 30, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the church's Celebration Center. For more information, call 364-9049.
Perry Central Optimist Club will have a chili supper Friday, Jan. 30, before the homecoming game against Crawford County. From 6 to 8 p.m., the group will serve a bowl of chili, crackers, dessert and a bottled drink for $5. Proceeds will benefit the Top 10 Senior Banquet and the newly established Scholarship Fund.
