The program will include a speaker, elections and a meal. Everyone who attends is asked to bring a dessert to share. A free-will offering will be accepted. First Baptist Church of Alton will host a community hymn sing Sunday, March 29, at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Grace Assembly of God will host a community Lenten service Sunday, March 29, at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be provided after the service. Grace Assembly of God is located off U.S. 150 near Palmyra. Everyone is welcome.
Harrison County United Methodist Women's Lenten breakfast will be Saturday, April 4, at 9 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church in New Middletown. The featured speaker will be Fatorma Siafa, manager of the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Corydon.
Marengo United Methodist Church will host "Golden Friends," a monthly gathering for all seniors, on Wednesday, April 1, at 11:30 a.m. Bring a $1 "gag" gift for the meeting. (Men bring a man's gift, and women bring a woman's gift.) Julie Miller of Vibrant Home Health Care will do blood-pressure checks and discuss health concerns. Bring a dish for the meal.
