Angel Foods Ministry at Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church west of English will take orders for food boxes on the second Thursday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. and on the following Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Boxes will be ready for pickup on the fourth Saturday of the month from 9 to 11 a.m.
Harrison Hills Baptist Church is hosting Vacation Bible School now through Friday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for ages 4 to those going into seventh grade. Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church, in Crandall will host fish fry Friday, June 19, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Crandall Masonic Lodge off Oak Street. All-you-can-eat adult meals will be $7; children 10 and younger will be $3. Carry-outs will be available.
Marengo United Meth-odist Church will host a ribeye steak dinner Saturday, June 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu will include an 8-ounce ribeye, baked beans, coleslaw and homemade dessert. New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye will have a yard sale Friday, June 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Birdseye Park. The sale will benefit Vacation Bible School.
Pfrimmer's Chapel United Methodist Church will host Vacation Bible school, "Crocodile Dock," from 6 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday), tomorrow and Friday. A finale picnic will take place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Descendants of the 35 different families buried at Old Unity Cemetery off Cemetery Road (off S.R. 66), which includes Adams, Fancher, Mattox, Poe, Radcliff and Roll, are invited to the annual cemetery meeting Sunday, June 28. There will be a pitch-in dinner at 1 p.m.; bring food, drink and chairs sufficient for your family. A permanent trust fund provides for the upkeep of the cemetery. The 67th Funk reunion for the descendants of Indiana Pioneer and Revolutionary War soldier Henry and Elizabeth (Miller) Funk will be Sunday, June 28, at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany.
