July 22, 2009 The Leavenworth RiverFest returns Saturday with a full schedule of family events.
The festival, in old town Leavenworth down by the Ohio River, will begin with area churches presenting a "RiverRevival" from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The Moms on a Mission Relay For Life team will sponsor a cornhole tournament at 11, with registration opening at 10:30.
Elvis impersonator Otis Berry will host the CARES after-school program talent show at noon, followed by a Western re-enactment presented by Six Guns Entertainment at 2 p.m.
The Bootleggers, a bluegrass band featuring Joe Esarey on banjo and harmonica and Ethan Howerton on guitar and vocals, will perform at 3 p.m. They will be followed by STUNNED, with Cody Stroud, Jacob Mauck, Nick Woods on vocals, James Pevlor on guitar and Nate Woods on the drums, at 4:30 p.m.
The festival, which will wrap up at 6 p.m., also will include carnival rides, games, food and booths throughout the day.
