Blue River Landowners Association will conduct its annual meeting Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at Community First Bank at Corydon.

Crawford County Council will meet Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the judicial complex at English. The council is meeting one-half hour earlier than usual so that it can conduct a public hearing regarding a tax abatement application from Smith Creek LLC.

Crawford County Friends of the Library will meet Thursday, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Public Library at English.

Crawford County Solid Waste Management District advisory board will meet Friday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m. at the SWMD office at English.

Church Events

Bethany Union Church Youth Group will have a fish fry and bake sale Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wickliffe United Methodist Church parking lot, located at the intersection of S.R. 164 and Dillard Road. The menu includes fish sandwiches, french fries, sodas, homemade pies, cookies, brownies and lemon shake-ups. Proceeds benefit the youth group.

First Baptist Church of Alton will give away hamburgers, hot dogs and water Saturday, Sept. 5, at the shelter house by the Ohio River beginning at 4 p.m.

Fredericksburg United Methodist Church will host musician/pastor Tim Voorhies as special guest at its praise and worship service Sunday, Sept. 6, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Grantsburg Community Church will have homecoming Sunday, Sept. 13 with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m., worship at 10:30, a pitch-in lunch at noon and singing at 1 p.m. featuring The Pathfinders, a blue-grass/gospel group. For more information, call 1-812-338-2044.

Lutheran Women's Mis-sionary League of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Edwardsville will have a rummage sale Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12, at the church located at 5231 S.R. 62 across from Polly's Freeze. Proceeds will be used to support a seminary student, the seminary food bank and other missions.

Crawford County United Ministries invites the public to gather at the Crawford County Judicial Complex in English Thursday, Sept. 3, at noon to pray for Crawford County, Indiana and the nation. Open country jamboree will be each Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hardinsburg Lions Club (Bearcat Civic Center), one mile east of Hardinsburg along U.S. 150. All musicians are welcome to participate. There will be no cover charge, and the kitchen will be open.

T-Tab (Think Thin and Beautiful) weight loss and support group will meet each Thursday at Marengo Ele-mentary School, Room 151. Weigh-in is at 4 p.m., with the program from 4:30 to 5. Membership is $5 with $1 per week dues. For more information, call 365-2220 or 633-7644.

Reunions

Corydon Central High School Class of 1966 will have a picnic Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Shelter-house at 1990 Corydon-Ramsey Road NW at Corydon. Money reunion will be Sunday, Sept. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at Lanesville Heritage Park.

New Middletown Alumni Banquet will be Saturday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. at New Middletown Elementary School. Anyone who attended New Middletown High School is invited. Old Dam 43 29th annual reunion will be Sunday, Sept. 13, at Noe's Rest Park off S.R. 111. The carry-in meal will be at 1:30 p.m. Bring table service and lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather, the re-union will be at Evan's Landing Church. All former employees, their families and friends are invited.

American Legion Post 332 Legionnaires will meet the second and fourth Tuesdays at 8 p.m.; Sons of the American Legion will meet the first Tuesday at 8 p.m.; the Legion Auxiliary will meet the third Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., all at the post home at Milltown.
