Boys and Girls Club of Harrison County board will meet Monday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at 600 E. Chestnut St., Corydon.

Crawford County Board of Health will meet Tuesday, June 15, at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Health Department at English.

Crawford County Community School Corp. Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday, June 15, at the Administration Office at 5805 E. Administration Road, Marengo. The public meeting is to begin at 7:15 p.m., following a closed executive session at 6.

Church events

Eckerty Community Chapel Church will have homecoming Saturday, June 12, beginning at 10 a.m. Singers will be The Pathfinders, Calvin Creek Boys, Adams Girls and others. Everyone is welcome for fellowship, singing and refreshments afterward.

First Pentecostal Church in Birdseye will have a car wash Saturday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church parking lot.

Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church in Crandall will host fish fry fundraisers the next three Fridays (June 11, 18 and 25) with serving beginning at 5 p.m. at the Crandall Masonic Lodge off Oak Street. "All you can eat" adult meals are $7; meals for children 10 and young are $3. Carry-outs will be available. Proceeds from the June 11 and 18 fish fries will go toward the church's youth trip to national competition in Detroit. Indian Creek Church will host Vacation Bible School Sunday, June 13, through Friday, June 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. This year's theme is "Saddle Ridge Ranch." Set among the vistas and wide-open spaces of Big Sky country, Saddle Ridge Ranch will be a place where children can ask questions and discover the answer found in God's Word. Children will visit Worship Rally Valley and Bible Study Bunkhouse. Around the ranch, they also will experience crafts, missions, music, recreations and snacks. Marengo Christian Church will host Grace Harmony, a Christian music ministry, in concert Wednesday, June 16, at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the concert. Everyone is welcome.

New Hope BaptistChurch will have a fish fry and yard sale Saturday, June 12, at Birdseye Park. The yard sale will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the fish fry will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church west of English along S.R. 64 will have Vacation Bible School today (Wednesday), tomorrow and Friday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Pastor is Doug Byrum.

Miscellaneous/Organizations

Cornhole tourney will be held July 4 in downtown Marengo. The cost is $10 per person, and partners will be drawn. Fifty percent of the entrance fee will go to the prize pool, with the remainder to go to the town to offset the cost of the town's fireworks. Sign-up is at noon, with the tourney set to begin at 1 p.m.

Crawford County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet Monday, June 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawford County Public Library at English. Election of the officers will be conducted. The public is welcome.

Reunions

Descendants of Essie Lee Faith and Nora Ellen Neafus Faith will have their annual reunion Sunday, June 13, at the Union Chapel Ladies Aide Hall. There will be a pitch-in dinner at noon. All friends and relatives are invited.

Descendants of Augustus Hughes and Almira Rothrock Hughes annual reunion will be Sunday, June 13, at Scout Mountain Lodge (the Bush-Sawtelle camp) on Blue River with a carry-in meal at noon. Bring pictures, family history books or other memorabilia to share. For more information, call 267-3031.

Martin and Mollie Baelz Engleman annual family reunion will be Sunday, June 20, at the Mauckport Shelterhouse with a pitch-in meal at noon. All friends and relatives are invited.

Veterans

American Legion Post 332 will offer bingo each Friday at the post home at Milltown. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Euchre will be played each Wednesday, not Monday as was stated in last week's newspaper, at 7 p.m. at the post. The cost is $5.
