Carefree Christian's Missionary Church, located along S.R. 66 south of Interstate 64, will host revival services Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 18 through 20, at 7 each night. Brother George Key will be the evangelist, and The Key Quartet will provide special singing. Everyone is welcome.
First Baptist Church of Alton will host a chili supper Saturday, Nov. 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Alton Town Hall. There will be no cost, but a free-will offering will be accepted. Everyone is welcome.
Marengo Christian Church will have its annual homecoming service Sunday, Nov. 14, at 9:30 a.m. The singing group Sacred Calling will be in concert and Aaron Sweeney will bring the message. There will be a Thanksgiving dinner at noon, with the turkey and dressing provided. Everyone is welcome.
St. Michael's Parish Life Center in Bradford will have a spaghetti supper and Christmas bazaar Saturday, Nov. 20, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost will be $8 for adults and $4 for children (ages 4 through 11). The dinner will feature spaghetti with Italian meat sauce, tossed salad, hot bread, a drink and dessert.
Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Edwardsville will have its 20th annual craft bazaar Friday, Dec. 3, and Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Christian Activity Center. If interested in participating, mark items with your initials. A number or letter may need to be added if duplicate initials exist (the tags must be removable). Participants can stay with the items or drop them off with an inventory sheet. There will be no set-up fee, and 25 percent of proceeds will go to the church. For those who want to stay both days, there will be no set-up fee and the church will receive 15 percent of sales. Tables are needed. If an electrical outlet is needed, it will be available if requested. Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth will host bingo Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m.
Marengo American Legion Post 84 will host a free veterans dinner Thursday, Nov. 11, beginning at noon. Then, on Sunday, Nov. 14, the post will host a turkey shoot at 1 p.m.
Milltown American Legion Post 332 will host a veterans dinner Saturday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. The menu will consist of traditional Thanksgiving items. Veterans will eat free; the cost for all others is $6. There will be a brief program to follow.
