Crawford County Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawford County Judicial Complex at English.

Floyd County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, March 1, at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners Room at the City-County Building at New Albany.

Georgetown Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall.

Georgetown Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Board of Health will meet Wednesday, March 2, at 8 a.m. at the conference room of the Health and Education Building at the new county government complex at Corydon.

Harrison County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Council will meet Monday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Harrison County Government Center in Corydon.

LifeSpan Resources Inc. Advisory Council will meet Monday, Feb. 28, at 11:45 a.m. in the third-floor board room at the YMCA building at 33 State St., New Albany.

Milltown Parks board will meet Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

Palmyra Town Council will meet Tuesday, March 1, at the 7 p.m. at the town hall.

Church events

Liberty View Church, located two miles north of Milltown along S.R. 66, will present gospel singing artist Danny Jones in concert Saturday, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m.

Mount Zion Brethren in Christ Church clothes closet will be open Tuesday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be lots of clothes and household items to be given away. Everyone is welcome. The church is located along Speed Road, between Milltown and S.R. 66.

Pleasant Ridge Church, located at Mifflin and West Fork roads in western Crawford County, will host The Toney Brothers, of Gatlinburg, Tenn., in concert Friday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. Also performing will be area singer Danny Jones. There will be no cost, but a free-will offering will be accepted. For more information, call Pastor Otis Berry at 739-4112.

Miscellaneous/Organizations

Crawford County Arts and Crafts Association will meet Tuesday, March 1, at 12:30 p.m. at Van's Restaurant at Marengo.

Crawford County Twenty-first Century Scholars will meet Monday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Junior-Senior High School media center. Hardinsburg Lions Club will host a fish fry Sunday, March 6, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Bearcat Civic Center, located two miles east of Hardinsburg along U.S. 150. There will be half-and-half drawings and live music beginning at 2. The menu will include Alaskan pollock fish, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans and dessert. The cost is $6 for fish and choice of two sides; dine in or carry out. The proceeds will benefit the Lions Club's community projects.

Harrison County Archery Club will meet Sunday, Feb. 27, at 8 a.m. at the Bob Enlow farm off Corydon-New Middletown Road. For shoot results and shoot information, go to hcarcheryclub.com. For directions or other information, call Kerry at 968-3048 weekdays after 4 p.m.

Harrison County Farm Bureau local policy development meeting will be Thursday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Farm Bureau office, located at 270 Federal Drive in Corydon.

Sportsman auction and chili supper will be Saturday, March 12, at Leavenworth Elementary School. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the auction will begin at 6. Admission will be $5, which will include the chili supper. Lots of sports items, including two hunting trips, will be auctioned. Tickets are available at Stephenson's General Store, T-Mart or from any Leavenworth volunteer firefighter.

Veterans

American Legion Post 84 in Marengo will have a fish fry and bean bag tournament Sunday, Feb. 27, beginning at 1 p.m. The menu will also include beans and cornbread. The public is welcome.
