Comfort House Board of Directors will meet Tuesday, March 22, at 6 p.m. at Comfort House at Corydon.

Crandall Town Council will meet Monday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center.

Fredericksburg Town Council will meet Monday, March 21, at 5 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Complex at Corydon.

Harrison County Parks board will meet Wednesday, March 23, at 7 p.m. at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission executive board will meet Tuesday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the Commission's office at 221 E. First St. in Ferdinand.

Church events

Crandall United Methodist Church, located at 6220 Main St., will host a special evening Lenten service, "Renew, Refresh and Recommit to the Spirit of the Lord!", Sunday, March 20, at 7. There will be fellowship following the service. For more information, call 366-3469.

Milltown Southern Baptist Church invites everyone to attend a Resurrection Fellowship service on Sunday evening, March 20, at 7 p.m.. Plan to stay afterward for refreshments and fellowship. Milltown Southern Baptist Church is located at 605 E. Main St.


Crawford County Junior-Senior High School band will have a charity concert at the school Friday, March 18, at 7 p.m. to assist the family of student Savannah Lundgren, who is battling cancer for the second time, with the cost of medical bills. Tickets cost $5 individually or five for $20. They can be purchased in advance by contacting band Director John Fischer at 365-2125, ext. 223 or Lisa Lanning, president of the band boosters, at 1-812-613-0596. Desserts and drinks will be available for 50 cents each. In addition, raffle tickets for donated items will be available for $1 or six for $5.

Taswell Cemetery annual meeting will be Friday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at Taswell Christian Church.

Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Edwardsville will have a Music Fest Sunday, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the Christian Activity center, located behind the church. The groups to perform include Paul Deuser, Doug Kiethly and friends, who will play a variety of music including contemporary and gospel. There will be snacks and drinks available. This event will recognize and support "Choices for Women," which offers help and support to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Entry will be a free-will offering or a donation of diapers. Descendants of Abraham Harmon and friends will have a reunion Sunday, April 3, at Thompson's Chapel United Methodist Church west of Corydon. The schedule for the day includes church service at 10 a.m., share time at 11 a.m. with photos, genealogical information and stories to share (scanner will be available) and a pitch-in dinner at noon. After lunch, the group will take a walk through Thompson's Chapel Cemetery, focusing on Harmon burial sites. Following the cemetery walk, a tour of Harmon sites, including the George, Dave, Alvin and Clarence Harmon places, which will be labeled with signs, will be conducted. English High School alumni banquet will be Saturday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the English Elementary School gym. All graduates, staff and anyone who attended English High School and guests are invited. The banquet will be catered, and reservations are required. After dinner, Music Bayer (DJ) will play oldies for listening and dancing enjoyment. Nabb Photography will be available to take pictures of groups or individuals.
