Crawford County Public Library board will meet Tuesday, March 29, at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Public Library at English.

Georgetown Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Council will meet Monday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

South Central Area Special Education Cooperative Governing board will meet Tuesday, March 29, at the administration building, located at 600 Elm St., Ste. 2 in Paoli. A closed executive session will be at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by the public meeting at 9:45.

Church events

Corydon Baptist Church invites everyone to attend a Resurrection Fellowship service on Sunday, March 27, at 7 p.m. Come and plan to stay afterward for refreshments and fellowship.

Liberty View Church will have spring revival services Friday through Sunday, March 25 through 27, beginning at 7 each night. Corban Radley will preach Friday with special singing by Chris Brown. On Saturday, Trent Adkins will preach with special singing by the Stevens Family. And on Sunday, Joey Elhers will preach with special singing by Sara Adkins and Sally Lasley. Everyone is welcome. The church is located two miles north of Milltown along S.R. 66.

Palmyra Baptist Church, located along S.R. 135 1/2 mile north of U.S. 150, will host a night of old-time gospel singing Saturday, March 26, at 6:30 followed by fruit and finger food fellowship. Everyone is invited to take their favorite gospel song, poem or story for a night of worship. For more information, call Jack Rumbley at 364-1992.

Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Edwardsville will have a music fest Sunday, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the Christian Activity Center, located behind the church. Groups to perform include Paul Deuser, Doug Kiethly and friends, who will play a variety of music including contemporary and gospel. There will be snacks and drinks available. This event will recognize and support "Choices for Women," which offers help and support to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Entry will be a free-will offering or a donation of diapers. St. Michael Church in Bradford will have a fish fry buffet Friday, March 25, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The Louisville Thoroughbred Chorus will perform a free concert at 6:15 p.m. All proceeds from the fish fry will go to help fund the church's youth summer mission trip to Appalachia. El Bethel Cemetery annual meeting will be Tuesday, March 29, at 7 p.m. at El Bethel Church.

Jackson-Morgan Farm Bureau will meet Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. in the Central Barren United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Drinks, meat and bread will be furnished. The speaker will be Jade Ware. The topic will be help for older adults.

Pleasant Ridge Cemetery meeting will be Saturday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at the church along Mifflin-West Fork Road.


Descendants of Abraham Harmon and friends will have a reunion Sunday, April 3, at Thompson's Chapel United Methodist Church. The schedule for the day includes church services at 10 a.m. and share time at 11, where attendees are invited to bring photos, genealogical information and stories to share (a scanner will be available). A pitch-in dinner will be served at noon. After lunch, the group will take a walk through the Thompson's Chapel Cemetery focusing on Harmon burial sites. Following the cemetery walk, a tour of Harmon sites including the George, Dave, Alvin and Clarence Harmon places, which will be labeled with signs, will be conducted.
