Blue River Commission will meet Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Milltown Town Hall.

Crandall Town Council will meet Monday, Sept. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center.

Crawford County Community School Corp. Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Administration Office near Marengo. The public meeting will be at 7:15 p.m. and will follow the 5:30 closed executive session. A hearing on the proposed 2012 budget will be conducted.

Crawford County Council for a Drug-Free Community will meet Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 8 a.m. at Van's Restaurant at Marengo. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, e-mail drugfree@drugfreecrawford.com.

Crawford County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet Thursday, Sept. 15, at 4:30 p.m. at the Crawford County Emergency Management Agency office, located at 306 Oak Hill Circle at English.

Crawford County Sheriff's Merit board will meet Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Crawford County Judicial Complex at English.

Crawford County Tourism Board of Commissioners will meet Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 9 a.m. at the Tourism Office at Carefree.

English Town Council will meet Monday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

Floyd County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners Room at the City-County Building at New Albany.

Fredericksburg Town Council will meet Monday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m. the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Hospital Board of Trustees will meet Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. at the HCH administrative conference room at Corydon.

Jackson-Morgan Township Farm Bureau will have a pitch-in dinner Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. at Central Barren United Methodist Church. Meat, bread and drinks will be furnished. Bring a covered dish and enjoy an evening of learning and fellowship.

Church

El Bethel Baptist Church in Milltown will have a building dedication and homecoming service Sunday, Oct. 2, at 10:30 a.m. with worship service and dinner at noon in the new fellowship hall. The building will be dedicated at 1:30 p.m. followed by a homecoming service at 3. Everyone is welcome to attend. The church is located at 3824 S. S.R. 66.

Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church in Crandall will have a fish fry Friday, Sept. 16, at the Crandall Masonic Lodge along Oak Street. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. "All you can eat" adult meals will be $7; children 10 and younger can eat for $3. Carry-outs will be available. Proceeds will go toward the church building fund. Mifflin Community Church will host revival services Sept. 20 through 25. The Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Kaufman and family will be the speaker and will be providing the music. Tuesday through Saturday services will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the service at 10:30. Sunday night service will be at 6. Everyone is welcome. The Rev. Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Leavenworth will have its third annual Harvest Time Revival Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and 2 with special singing nightly. The schedule will be: Brother Eric Satterfield, pastor of Grantsburg Community Church, Friday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m.; Brother R.C. Cox, Bible teacher at Beulah Baptist Church in Louisville, Saturday, 7 p.m.; Brother Fred Schuppert, Pastor of Believers Fellowship in Corydon, special singing Friday and Saturday night; Brother Tony Dilley, Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Sunday, 10:30 a.m.; and Brother Rick Start, Crossroads Fellowship in Lebanon, Tenn., Sunday, 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. St. Michael's Church Picnic at Bradford will be Sunday, Sept. 25, with dinner (ham or chicken and dumplings) served from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost will be $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 10 (children 4 and younger can eat for free) in dining room only. There will be a silent auction, bingo and raffles, including for a 2011 Ford XL Ranger, and games for all ages. The picnic will be held rain or shine.

Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church, located along S.R. 64 west of English, will have a centennial celebration Sunday, Sept. 25, at 10:30 a.m. David Yardy will be the speaker. Dinner will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Following dinner, memories will be shared. Everyone is welcome. Pastor Doug Byrum.

Descendants of Edward and Alda Curts will have their 39th reunion Sunday, Sept. 18, at Oasis Ministry Center in Corydon with a pitch-in meal at 1 p.m.

Descendants of the late John and Vada Carver will have a reunion Sunday, Sept. 18, at Bethel Parish House in Central. A pitch-in meal will start at 12:30 p.m.
