December 07, 2011
The Crawford County wrestling team had a better showing at the Scottsburg Invitational, going 3-4 for the weekend. The Wolfpack's record improved to 4-8.

Crawford County fell 42-22 in the first of seven rounds against the Warriors. The Wolfpack won their next three sessions, beating Switzerland 36-20, Christian Academy of Indiana 33-16 and Salem 33-18. Jennings County overpowered Crawford County, dominating the round, 60-12. The Wolfpack also fell to Eastern 48-24 and Paoli 53-18.

"We had a great showing, even though we were down two of our normal wrestlers, one to injury, one to illness," coach Jimmy Ward said.

Shane Gabbard won all six of his matches in the 152-pound class and improved to 7-4 for the year. Austin Key had a good day in the 106-pound class with a 5-2 record, improving his overall record to 10-2.
