LifeSpan Resources Inc. Board of Directors will meet Monday, Jan. 9, at 11:45 a.m. in the third-floor board room of the YMCA Building at 33 State St. in New Albany.

Church

Lydia's Closet, a joint effort between Taswell Seventh-day Adventist Church and Taswell Christian Church, offers a variety of clothing for all sizes. Located at Taswell Christian Church, it will be open Wednesdays, from 3 to 6 p.m. Donations of clothing, small household items, baby items, etc. may be made during Wednesday open hours. Persons who cannot come during that time may call Sheila at 1-812-613-0131 or Kathy at 1-812-631-2538 to arrange a drop-off time.

Taswell Seventh-day Adventist Church food pantry will be open on the third or fourth Friday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. Families are assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Those receiving assistance must complete a form. Families must be from Crawford County and have a need. For more information, call Sheila at 1-812-613-0131.

Miscellaneous/Organizations

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet each Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Crawford County Community Building at English.

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet each Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church at New Salisbury.

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at the Crawford County Public Library in English on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:30, open discussion.

Boys and Girls Club of Harrison County board will meet Monday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. at 600 E. Chestnut St., Corydon.

Crawford County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet Monday, Jan. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawford County Public Library at English.

Dance and social gathering will be each Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bearcat Civic Center, about a mile east of Hardinsburg along U.S. 150. There will be live music. Admission is a donation. Concessions will be sold by the Hardinsburg Lions Club.

Hardinsburg Lions Club will host euchre tournaments each Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Hardinsburg Lions Club (Bearcat Civic Center). The sign-up fee is $5. To sign up, call 1-812-723-4316.

Open country jamboree will be each Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hardinsburg Lions Club (Bearcat Civic Center), about a mile east of Hardinsburg along U.S. 150. All musicians are welcome to participate. There will be no cover charge, and the kitchen will be open.

Our Father Provides Center, located at 109 W. Poplar St. in Corydon, has new and used clothing and food items to give to persons in need. The center is open on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Persons wanting to donate items may do so during that time. For more information, call 738-2516.

The Country Charm Band, with more than 300 years of music experience, will perform each Wednesday night at the Eagles Building at 1500 Highway 62 E. in Corydon. There will be a pitch-in supper (bring a dish, if you plan to eat) at 6 p.m. with music and dancing from 6:30 to 9:30. The cover charge is $4, and there will be 50-50 pot drawings and door prizes. Guest singers are welcome.

T-Tab (Think Thin and Beautiful) weight loss and support group will meet each Thursday at Marengo Elementary School, Room 131. Weigh-in will be at 4 p.m. with the program at 4:30. For more information, call 365-2220 or 633-7644.

Seniors

Hardinsburg Senior Center will host its all-you-can-eat monthly breakfast Saturday, Jan. 7, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. All ages are welcome. In addition, the center will have its next board meeting after lunch Tuesday, Jan. 10. All members are urged to attend to discuss the next project.

Veterans

American Legion Post 332 Legionnaires will meet the second and fourth Tuesdays at 8 p.m.; Sons of the American Legion will meet the first Tuesday at 8 p.m.; the Legion Auxiliary will meet the third Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., all at the post home at Milltown. The post also will offer bingo each Friday. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

American Legion Ralph E. Parr Post 133 at Alton, Legionnaires and Ladies Auxiliary, will meet the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.; American Legion Sons, second Thursday, 7 p.m.; karaoke, first, second and third Saturdays.

VFW Post 6160 will meet the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the post home at English. The Ladies Auxiliary also will meet at 7. The post also will offer bingo each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and euchre tournaments each Friday at 7 p.m. The post's annual bingo license number is 123752, and its annual charity license number is 123749.
