Circle of Friends Sunday school class at Depauw United Methodist Church in New Albany (across from New Albany High School) will have a yard/basement sale Saturday, March 17, from 8 a.m. to noon in the church's fellowship hall. The fundraising event helps the class award two $500 scholarships to graduates from both Floyd Central and New Albany high schools. Donations of good used items are appreciated. Corydon Baptist Church will host a Resurrection Fellowship service Sunday, March 4, at 7 p.m. This will be the second of six Resurrection Fellowship services at different churches. Each service will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a time of refreshments. Everyone is welcome. Corydon Baptist Church is located at 2454 Highway 337 NW (near Harrison County Hospital).
Crawford Consolidated and Pilot Knob United Methodist churches will have a chicken barbecue dinner Saturday, March 3, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Crawford Consolidated UMC, located at 8863 S. Highfill Cemetery Inc. will have its annual meeting Friday, March 9, at 7 p.m. at Highfill Chapel Church. The agenda includes election of a director and any other business.
Household of Faith, Assembly of God Church in Crandall will have a fish fry Friday, and every Friday during Lent (through April 6), at the Crandall Masonic Lodge along Oak Street. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. "All you can eat" adult meals are $7; $3 for children 10 and younger. Carry-out will be available. Proceeds go toward the church building fund. Mount Zion Brethren-in-Christ Church will have a clothes closet Tuesday, March 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the church located along Speed Road near S.R. 66. There will be lots of clothes and household items to be given away. Everyone is welcome.
New Salisbury Full Gospel Church will host the Hammond Family singing group Sunday, March 4, at 6 p.m. A free-will offering will be collected. Refreshments will be served after the program.
St. Michael's Church in Bradford will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry Friday, March 2, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The cost will be $8.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 11 and younger. All proceeds will go to help fund the church's summer youth mission trips to Belize and Appalachia. Everyone is welcome.

English Senior Citizens will have their monthly birthday dinner Saturday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the senior citizens building. Members will play bingo. The public is invited.
Hardinsburg Senior Center will host its all-you-can-eat monthly breakfast Saturday, March 3, from 7:30 to 10. The center also will have bingo Tuesday, March 6, at noon. All ages are welcome to both events.
