Crawford County Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawford County Judicial Complex at English.

Floyd County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, May 1, at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners Room at the City-County Building at New Albany.

Georgetown Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the town office. The meeting will only be held if needed. Call the town office at 951-3012.

Georgetown Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the town office.

Harrison County Board of Health will meet Wednesday, May 2, at 8 a.m. at the conference room of the Health and Education Building at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Public Library board will meet Thursday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m. at the main library at Corydon.

Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District board will meet Friday, April 27, at 8:30 a.m. at the USDA Farm Service Agency building at 1855 Gardner Lane NW in Corydon.

Lincoln Hills Development Corp. South Crawford County Head Start will have an open house Friday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Center, 2675 S. S.R. 66, Marengo (near the former T-Mart). The public is invited to tour the facility and learn about the program. Refreshments will be served. For information, call 365-3177.

Milltown Parks board will meet Tuesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

Church

Byrnville Community Church of Christ will have its annual spaghetti supper and general store Saturday, April 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 each, and $5 for children ages 10 and younger. Also, three tickets will be pulled to receive a door prize. The Geltmakers will provide after-dinner entertainment.

Good News Church in English will host an awakening revival with evangelist J.D. and Angie Ramsey Friday, April 28, through Friday, May 4, at 7 nightly. Ramsey, of Herber Springs, Ark., is president and founder of Kingdom Call Ministries Inc. He has preached in churches worldwide and has personally experienced God's deliverance from drug addiction. After finding salvation, he almost lost his life in a logging accident, only to see the hand of God heal and raise him up from near death. At each service, there will be anointed praise and worship along with the preaching of the word of God followed by praying for the needs of people. Pastor Joe Saltz welcomes everyone. The church is located at 1465 E. Temple Road.

Mount Zion Brethren in Christ Church clothes closet will be open Tuesday, May 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be lots of clothes and household items to be given away. The church is located along Speed Road west of Milltown near S.R. 66. Everyone is welcome.

Palmyra United Methodist Church Holy Smokers will host a dinner Saturday, April 28, beginning at 4 p.m. The menu will include ribeyes, pulled pork, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, slaw and desserts. For more information, call 364-9049 or 364-4126.

Miscellaneous

Harrison County Twenty-first Century Scholars will meet Tuesday, May 1, at 6 p.m. at the Harrison County Lifelong Learning Center in Corydon.

Mentor Cemetery annual meeting will be Tuesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. at the Birdseye Town Hall. All lot owners are encouraged to attend.
