Gospel Fest, sponsored by the Harrison County Hymn Sing, will be Saturday, June 16, from noon to 6 p.m. on the Corydon town square. In addition to singing, there will be children's games and food booths.
Lydia's Closet, a joint effort between Taswell Seventh-day Adventist Church and Taswell Christian Church, offers a variety of clothing for all sizes. Located at Taswell Christian Church, it is open each Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. except for June 20, as food is distributed that week. Donations of clothing, small household items, baby items, etc. may be made during Wednesday open hours. New Hope Baptist Church at Birdseye will have a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a yard sale beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Birdseye Park.
New Salisbury Christian's Missionary Church will have Vacation Bible School June 11 through 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 nightly. There will be classes for all ages, including adults. Riders of Star Motorcycles are invited to attend the Wildwood Star Reunion on Saturday, June 9. There will be a bike show and a 90-mile group ride through the most scenic parts of Orange and Crawford counties. The meeting point in Wildwood will be the Ole Country Store, located at 4421 W. County Road 640 S., Paoli. This is halfway between Paoli and English, four miles west of S.R. 37. Breakfast and lunch will be available at the Country Store.
