First Capital Christian Church will host a free Kid's Camp for ages 4 through 12 at the Harrison County Fairgrounds in Corydon Sunday through Wednesday, June 24 through 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The theme will be "Babylon — Daniel's Courage in Captivity," and children will be able to dress in costume, explore marketplace shops, pet live animals, sing, play Bible-themed games, participate in dramatic Bible skits and make Bible-themed toys. Liberty View Church, located two miles north of Milltown along S.R. 66, will have a yard and plant sale Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be dishes, household items, books, toys and more available. All clothing items will be 25 cents each. There also will be plants available for purchase.
Lydia's Closet, a joint effort between Taswell Seventh-day Adventist Church and Taswell Christian Church, offers a variety of clothing for all sizes. Located at Taswell Christian Church, it is open each Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. except for June 20, as food is distributed that week. Donations of clothing, small household items, baby items, etc. may be made during Wednesday open hours.
