Christ United Methodist Church, located at 1618 Canal Lane in Georgetown, will host Danny Jones, singer, songwriter and musician, for a special concert Sunday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. Jones tours the United States and Canada with his family to share his God-given talent of both music and ministry. He has appeared on numerous Christian TV programs and is a recipient of the Crown Jewel Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year Award. Epiphany Lutheran Church, located along S.R. 135 at New Salisbury, will have Bluegrass Sunday on Sept. 16. The 10 a.m. worship service will include favorite hymns. Following the service, there will be a cook-out. Everyone is invited.

The Serving Seven churches of Crandall, Hursttown, Palmyra, Unity Chapel, Thompson's Chapel, New Salisbury and Central Barren will be at the Palmyra PAL-WOW festival, which will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Buffalo Trace Park east of Palmyra (free admission to the park during the festival). The Serving Seven will have a silent auction of themed baskets (bidding will close at 6 p.m.) and will give away freezer pops. Proceeds will go to the Harrison County Community Services food bank.
