The Crawford County wrestling team saw improvement last week with wins over Switzerland County, Southwestern Hanover and Christian Academy of Indiana at Scottsburg. The Wolfpack, however, did suffer an 18-66 loss to Corydon Central in their first home meet.
Andrew Patton won his 120-pound class and extended his record to 6-0 as did Austin Newton. Zach Best also was a winner against the Panthers.
"There is much to work on and, hopefully, this dual will serve as motivation," coach Jimmy Ward said.
Newton and Patton improved their overall records to 14-1, with Mike Wright trailing just slightly at 11-3. Newton also leads the team in points at 84.
Crawford County's next opponent will be Eastern (Pekin) on the road tomorrow night (Thursday).
