Lydia's Closet, a joint effort between Taswell Seventh-day Adventist Church and Taswell Christian Church, offers a variety of clothing for all sizes. Located at Taswell Christian Church, it is open each Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. except for Dec. 19, as food is distributed that week. Donations of clothing, small household items, baby items, etc. may be made during Wednesday open hours. The Taswell Seventh-day Adventist Church food pantry will be open Thursday, Dec. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. Families are assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Dance and social gathering will be each Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bearcat Civic Center about a mile east of Hardinsburg along U.S. 150. There will be live music. Admission is a donation. Concessions will be sold by the Hardinsburg Lions Club.
Good Vibrations, a band featuring Paul and Wendell Smith, Bob McIntosh and Bill Kappel, will perform classic country, old-time rock and roll and more each Wednesday night at the Eagles Building at 1500 Highway 62 E. in Corydon. There will be a pitch-in supper (bring a dish, if you plan to eat) at 6 p.m. with music and dancing from 6:30 to 9:30. The cover charge is $5, and there will be 50-50 pot drawings and door prizes.
