Faithpoint United Methodist Church, located at 6694 Highway 150 at Floyds Knobs, will host several special events. The Rev. George Wasson will deliver special Advent messages at the "Faithpoint at Five" worship service at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and on Sunday mornings at 10:30 at the church. The series, "REVEALED: Insights from the Characters of the First Christmas," will explore the joy of Christmas and focus on insights from Joseph, the innkeeper, the shepherds, the angels and the Christ Child. In addition, a special tree in the lobby is filled with "Senior Angel" opportunities for providing gifts for residents at Lincoln Hills Health Center through the church's partnership with that site this season. On Friday, Dec. 14, Faithpoint's missions team will raise support for next year's trip to Belize by hosting a Parents' Night Out babysitting service. A light dinner for the children will be provided, and free-will donations to missions will be accepted. On Saturday, Dec. 22, the weekly "Faithpoint at Five" (5 p.m.) service will feature "A Mouse's Tale," a children's Christmas musical that tells the birth of Christ from the animals' perspectives. Liberty View Church will have a Christmas program Saturday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. at the church, which is located along S.R. 66 north of Milltown. Danny Jones will sing and play the piano. Refreshments will be served after the program. Everyone is welcome. The pastor is Rick Scaparo.
