Government, agencies, school, library, etc.

Crawford County Chamber of Commerce will meet Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. in the conference room at the Crawford County Tourism Office north of Leavenworth.

Harrison County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Council will meet Wednesday, Dec. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners/Council Room at the Harrison County Government Center at Corydon.

Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will meet Friday, Dec. 21, at 8:30 a.m. at the USDA Farm Service Agency Building at 1855 Gardner Lane NW, Corydon.

Holiday events

Epiphany Lutheran Church, located along S.R. 135 north of New Salisbury, will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service Monday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m. "Silent Night" will be sung by candlelight accompanied by guitars provided by Higher Ground. The children will sing "Away in a Manger." Other memorable Christmas songs will be accompanied by organ.

First Baptist Church of Alton will have a candlelight service Sunday, Dec. 23, at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Fountain United Methodist Church Christmas program will be Sunday, Dec. 23. Festivities will begin with a screening of a Mitch Miller "Sing-Along with Mitch Christmas Episode" at 6:15 p.m. At 7, there will be a "Sing-Along with Kids" as well as other performances. A time of food and fellowship will follow the program in the church hall.

Milltown Christian Church will host a community Christmas service Sunday, Dec. 23, at 7 p.m. The service is in collaboration with Milltown Baptist and Milltown United Methodist churches and is the second of a three-part series. Milltown UMC will host a Good Friday service on March 29 at 7 p.m. The host church's pastor will open and close each service. The other two pastors will lead the worship. Each year, the locations will switch for different holidays so that, during a three-year period, each church will host that holiday event. The services are open to everyone, and refreshments and fellowship will follow each service.

Taswell Christian Church will host a Christmas service Sunday, Dec. 23. The service will include a skit titled "The Real Story," Christmas carols and a special message.

Miscellaneous

Southern Indiana Traumatic Brain Injury Foundation will meet Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Education Conference Room at Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital, 3401 Blackiston Blvd. in New Albany. Survivors, family, friends or anyone else who has an interest is invited. Refreshments will be served.
