A pair of Crawford County women were killed last Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Washington County.
The Washington County Sheriff's Department received an emergency phone call at approximately 9:21 a.m. reporting the two-vehicle crash along S.R. 56.
According to the WCSD report, Capt. Scott Schocke and Lt. Jim Strange, upon arriving at the crash scene, found a 2008 Chevy van driven by Thomas Gegner, 39, of Paoli, had collided with a 2006 Chevy Malibu driven by Pamela Goldman, 65, of English.
Goldman and a passenger, Carol Roser, 56, of Leavenworth, were traveling west when Goldman drove off the right side of the roadway and lost control of her vehicle. Her vehicle, according to the report, then traveled left of center and into the path of Gegner's van.
Goldman was pronounced dead at the scene, while Roser was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Washington County, where she was pronounced dead.
Gegner was taken to Washington County Hospital for treatment and released.
Goldman and Roser were bus drivers for the Crawford County Community School Corp.
The two women were returning to Crawford County after taking students to West Washington when the crash occurred.
