I would like to clear up some misinformation concerning the feeding of people in Marengo during the recent power outage.
This was not solely the work of the Marengo Wesleyan Church, but a communitywide effort. More than 65 individuals donated their time (more than 700 hours) and resources. These individuals were from various local churches and groups. Some represented no particular group, but just wanted to help. Without each one of these volunteers, it would never have been possible to accomplish what we did, and I would like to personally thank each one of them. I noticed at one point while we were serving that there were four people from four different churches dipping up food.
I know that everyone who came to serve came because they care about people. I think it is great the way God can bring us all together for His work.
Until the next time, when we all come together to help in a crisis.
