My name is Diann Parr, and I am asking for help from the community.
On Sept. 30, 2008, my daughter was in a serious car accident on Alton-Fredonia Road. After her accident, I attended a county commissioners' meeting, asking for guardrail to be installed in much-needed areas along the road. Over the past year, I have talked to a few of the commissioners and have yet to receive a yes-or-no answer regarding the guardrail.
I have traveled this road for over 25 years and have seen how the trees are sliding more and more down the bluff, leaving more areas along the road wide open. These areas are badly in need of guardrails.
After my daughter's accident, I have realized how important this subject is. Please help me by calling or writing our district commissioner, Jim Schultz, or attending a commissioners' meeting (the next one is Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawford County Judicial Complex in English) and let him know your concerns. I am only thinking of the safety of all the people who travel this road.
