Hayswood Theatre's production of "Wait Until Dark" kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end of the performance.
The play took place in a New York basement apartment with a window over the kitchen sink to enable the audience to see the villain walking to the apartment entrance. The suspenseful thriller is about a blind housewife, Susy (Carrie Cooke Ketterman), who is learning to cope with her blindness caused by an accident. She is helped by her young neighbor (Kira Hanger) when Susy is terrorized by three criminals who believe she has a doll stuffed with heroin hidden in the apartment. The criminals are played by Jeff Ketterman, Jake Minton and Allen Platt.
The actors were very believable and kept the play moving at a fast pace. The set added to the realism of the performance. This is a great play for those who enjoy thrillers.
