Frances E. Lankert

Died: Sunday, May 11, 2008
Frances E. (Eddie) Long Lankert, 79, Clarksville, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Born Nov. 16, 1928, in St. Joseph, Ky., she was the daughter of the late J. Everett and Mary Bessie Thompson Long Warren.

She was a medical executive secretary for a neurosurgeon for many years and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Lori Price, Jane Sullivan, Patricia Brown and Mary Helen Long, and a brother, William Long.

Survivors include her husband, Norman E. Lankert; five children, Cindy Andres of Floyds Knobs, Michael Lankert and Mindy Ernstberger, both of Sellersburg, Tish Tindall of Campbellsburg, Ky., and David Lankert of Plano, Texas; a brother, Jim Long of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, May 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 15, from noon to 8 p.m. at Generations Funeral home in New Albany.

Prayer service: Thursday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass: Friday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church followed by entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, both in New Albany.

The family suggests memorial gifts to Our Lady of Providence Junior-Senior High School or Gibault School for Boys in Terre Haute.
