Harry D. Adams

Died: Thursday, May 22, 2008
Harry David Adams, 61, Depauw, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Born Feb. 16, 1947, in Depauw, he was the son of Daniel F. and Mary Kay Bush Adams of Depauw.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a mechanic at Jacobi Sales in Palmyra and a member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey.

Survivors include his wife, the former Deborah G. Heilig; a son, Keith D. Adams of Depauw; a daughter, Donna G. Hampton of Depauw; four brothers, Danny Adams of Orleans, Mark Adams of Chattanooga, Tenn., and John and Joe Adams, both of Depauw; seven sisters, Sue Fessel, Ann Baker, Linda Swaney and Jane Whittaker, all of Depauw, Sheila McIntyre and Lura Byrd, both of Georgetown, and Louetta Roll of Salem; and four grandchildren.

Visitation: Saturday, May 24, from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, May 26, after 10 a.m. at at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.

Funeral: Monday, May 26, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Blue River Church of Christ Cemetery at Depauw.

Military rites: Milltown American Legion Post 332.

Officiant: The Rev. Jeff Reed.

Vocalist: Rick Roll.

Pallbearers: Nathan Adams, Mike Higdon, Max Fessel Jr., Matt McCutcheon, Tom Luther and Glenn Reas.
